Wyatt Michael Coburn, age 5 days, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Although his little life on earth was short, he lived up to his name, “Wyatt – brave in war.” He proved to be a strong and courageous little warrior as he battled lung complications at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Adored by all who loved and cared for him, Wyatt will be dearly remembered for his precious appearance, full head of hair and self-assurance. Wyatt’s namesake is Michael Lewis, his father’s strong-willed best friend. Wyatt was born Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Paige Westfall Coburn of Marysville; his grandparents, Patti Westfall of Hilliard, Greg (Nikki Murray) Westfall of Marysville, Tracy Casto of Columbus and Willie (Adena) Coburn of Marysville; great-grandparents, Philip and Nancy Banks of Mansfield, Richard and Jeanette Westfall of Marysville and Willie and Bonnie Coburn of Marysville; his uncles and aunts, Seth Westfall, James McCarley, Jr., Emily, Kaylee and Cody McCarley, Blake Coburn and Landon and Adrianna Earles; great uncles and aunts, Lynn (Jim Rittenhouse) Banks, Kathy (Dennis) Billingsley, Becky (Jason) Spohn, Melissa (David Junk) Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Dave (Susan) Coburn and Penny (Scott) Huston; and many other relatives and friends, including Michael (Dannielle Davis) Lewis and Mike and Jackie Lewis. A memorial gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. A procession to Mt. Herman Cemetery will follow the gathering.
