I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I have many wonderful memories of Joe and Phyllis during our time on Newford Drive in Bellefontaine. He would often visit during Bill’s illness. We appreciated his caring manner. He would have interesting things to talk to Bill about. They would reminisce about their golf trips and other things. He enjoyed talking about Jolene and was so proud of her accomplishments. He was a very good man and will be missed.

I met your parents through my work at the Sheriff's Office and connecting them with Project Lifesaver. I checked in on them monthly; it was always a delight to visit their home. I wish I'd have had an opportunity to know your mom when she was well! I was fortunate to become friends with Joe. I didn't see him often after Phyliss' passing. But each time we ran into one another he was gracious, quick with a smile and kind word. I am sorry for your loss. I know he was a wonderful husband, father and friend! You are in my prayers.

Linda and Jolene and family. Jan and I are very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We are sorry that we were not home during his final months. I am happy that I was able to talk with him by phone while he was at Bluebird. Joe and I worked together for several years at DP&L. He was also a good friend and neighbor and will be sadly missed by many people and fondly remembered by all who knew him. He and I enjoyed many rounds of golf together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Marvin and Janis Nicol

Have enjoyed knowing Joe since he has been to out church. Will think of him when I hear my oldies music on my Sirius radio as he carried music many places for others to enjoy. He always seemed to enjoy the "moment". Peggy

Linda and Jolene, John and I were so sorry to read about Joe's passing. Joe and I worked together for several years and I recruited him to play tennis with my ladies' group - always fun to have him join us. Joe was a good friend and we will miss him. Sharon We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

My father, Don Heintz, worked with Willie Joe at DP&L in Bellefontaine. Not a week went by without some sort of shenanigans story between the two. I met Willie Joe a few times during my childhood at DP&L family events, but saw him last at my father's funeral in 2011. He was as kind as I remembered, always smiling and genuinely sweet. Please accept my sympathies for your loss.
