William “Skip” Thomas II, age 55, of Marysville, died unexpectedly, Thursday, August 4, 2022. A Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served during the 1980’s. He was stationed at Quantico and served in the Pacific. He was member of The Vineyard Church in Marysville. A biker who loved the Lord, Skip enjoyed supporting the community in many different aspects and was a friend of Bill W. He was a friend to everyone and a stranger to none. Above all, he was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and “Pop Pop.” He was born June 6, 1967 in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bud” Thomas, Duane and Wanda Songer and his sister, Rhonda Wiseman. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Jewel Thomas; his children, Tabi (Kenny) Thomas, Jayson (Tori) Wagner, Hailey Thomas and Tyler (Heather) James; his grandchildren, Rylann and Jaxton; his step-sisters, Cheryl, Michelle and Deanna; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives, including Aunt Lydia Dowler. Memorial services with military honors will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2022 at American Legion Hall in Marysville where the family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Food and fellowship will immediately follow the service. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union County Veterans Remembrance Committee or Marysville Vineyard Church.
