Wanda Faye Williams Kirk Harris, age 73, of Charleston, West Virginia, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at The Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville, Ohio. She retired in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant with the Small Business Administration, where she worked for 15 years in Anaheim, California. She was a former associate of Rockwell International in Marysville, Ohio and Newark, Ohio. A graduate of East Bank High School in East Bank, West Virginia, she was a member of the Church of Christ. As a resident of Charleston, she was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), a member of the Charleston Cooper’s Creek Community Education Outreach Services (CEOS) and a volunteer with the March of Dimes. She opened her home to host international exchange students. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, cake decorating, sewing and shopping. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She was born July 16, 1938 in Harts, West Virginia to the late William Cecil and Virginia Porter Williams. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Harris; a brother Emmett “Roger” Williams; an infant brother William Williams; and a son-in-law, Stanley Drumm. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Kirk, Sheila Drumm and Sharon Kirk, all of Marysville; eight grandchildren, Jerry, Justin, Briana, Cody, Tiffany, Ginny, Ryan and Chelsea; two great grandsons, Jacob and Ethan; two great granddaughters, Taylor and Ava; three sisters, Laura (Paul) Hudson of Chelyan, WV, Midge (Ron) Smith of Hurricane, WV and Diana Wilson, of Chesapeake, WV; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Williams, of Columbus; aunts Margaret Roach and Doris Scott; sisters-in-law, Shirley Burnworth, Patty Harris and Katherine Schonauer; brothers-in-law, Larry Harris and Charles Harris; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends and caregivers at The Gables at Green Pastures. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 where the family will receive friends beginning at 5 pm. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery in Jacksontown, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwood16.wpengine.com.
