Travis Lee Griffith

Travis Lee Griffith, age 29, of Columbus, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 20, 2019. A 2008 graduate of Marysville High School, he was a landscape associate of Jenny’s Garden in Etna, Ohio. A lover of nature and the outdoors, he liked climbing and manicuring trees in the hopes of becoming a professional arborist. In recent years, he found a brotherhood with Outreach for Men in Pataskala. He will be most remembered for his compassion for and acceptance of others. He was born October 10, 1989 in Marysville and was preceded in death by his father, Paul Denver Griffith; his grandfather, Donald Streng; and his aunt, Kristen Streng Schmidt. Travis is survived by his parents, Cheryl and Brent Williams of Marysville; his grandparents, Jody Rittenhouse Streng of Marysville and Leonard and Emma Williams of Columbus; his aunts, Carole Streng Zeleny of California and Kelly (James) Jordan of Grove City; his uncle, Jerry Schmidt of Bellefontaine; his cousins, Nathaniel Zeleny, Whitney (Richard) Boutwell, Krichelle (Matt) Miller, Alek (Jessica) Geho, Kiersten (Troy) Slavin, Madison Burkhart, Mariah Burkhart and Karolyne Jordan; and many special friends. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Rev. Tonya Brittain will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach for Men, 8725 Palmer Road NW, Pataskala, Ohio 43062.
