Luis Antonio “Tony” Welch, age 37, of Marysville, formerly of Marion and Mt. Gilead, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 25, 2019 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was a group store leader at Game Stop in Marysville for almost ten years. He was a former associate of Movie Gallery in Mt. Gilead. Raised in Ashland, Kentucky, he was a graduate of Fairview High School where he played alto saxophone in marching band. He was a big “Star Wars” fan. He enjoyed martial arts, playing video games and being a devoted husband, father, brother and son. He will be remembered as a great mentor to many friends. His colleagues received valuable advice and a lasting friendship from him. He was born February 10, 1982 in Hobart, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a niece, Madalynn Wallace and his great-grandmother, Dollie Conley. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Shiane Harrington Welch, whom he married February 25, 2010; his daughter, Brooke Savannah Welch; his parents, Bill and Renati Lowe; his siblings, Amanda (James) Wallace, Jessica (Chris) Conkle, Matthew (Sara) Lowe, Maegan (Dave Harr) Wilson and Kyrstin Lowe; his father- and mother-in-law, Anthony and Debra Harrington of Bronx, New York; brothers-in-law, Anthony Harrington, Jr., Damien (Judy) Harrington and Mark Harrington; and many nieces and nephews, Caleb, Jacob, Gabriel, Lucas, Draven, Mara, Allison, Scott, Jr., Connar, Tylia and Devin. A memorial gathering will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s memory to the family.
