Rose Christine Alexander Robbins, age 86, of Amo, Indiana, died Monday, December 23, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Marysville, Ohio. She retired from Aircraft Electronics in Avon, Indiana and was a former associate of RCA. An active member of her community, she was a longtime member of Amo Baptist Church. Rose was known for her volunteerism, whether as an EMT or for Meals on Wheels. She will especially be remembered for her cooking- holiday gatherings, funeral dinners and her popular meringue pies. She was born June 16, 1933 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Jess and Reba Stephens Alexander. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Carl E. Robbins, Jr.; a brother, Jess H. Alexander; her sisters-in-law, Wilma Collier, Lorraine Weaver and Beulah Low. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Samantha) Robbins of Evansville, Indiana; her daughter, Karen (Robert) Hembree of Marysville, Ohio; her grandchildren, Maggie and Joshua Robbins and Aaron, Ryan and Brandy Hembree; a great-grandson, Ander Hembree; a brother-in-law, Ted Low; an aunt, Ruby Stephens- Keeton; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Underwood Funeral Home where a memorial gathering will be held at the conclusion of the visitation. Interment will be held at a later date in Amo Cemetery, Hendricks County, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope4EveryChild in care of Living Hope Church, 16701 Square Drive in Marysville, Ohio 43040.
