Ronald Rockenbaugh

Ronald Lee “Ron” Rockenbaugh, age 63, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Monday, August 6, 2018 in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital. He was an electrical engineer with Union Rural Electric where he had been an associate for over 30 years. A 1974 graduate of Marysville High School, he received a degree from DeVry University. A member of Inventors Network, he was anticipating his retirement so that he could create his inventions. He was known as a hard-working, selfless man with an eye for precision. He will be remembered as a devoted son who took great care of his family. He was born April 26, 1955 in Marysville to the late Dorance and Catherine Roosa Rockenbaugh and was also preceded in death by a brother, John; his former wife, Sandy Sneath Rockenbaugh; and his brother-in-law, Mike Rodenberger. He is survived by his wife, Ginny Meiss Rockenbaugh, whom he married September 13, 2014; his step-children, Christina (Nicholas) Tracy of Newark and Joshua Johnsen of Dublin; two step-grandchildren, Dustin and Ava; his twin brother, Donnie Rockenbaugh of Marysville; his sister, Bonnie Rodenberger of Marysville; his sister-in-law, Teresa Rockenbaugh; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, including Brodie (Tami) Rockenbaugh, Caleb Rockenbaugh, TJ (Abby) Rockenbaugh, Tracie (Justin) Wills, Christy (Chris) Miller, Ian (Ellen) Rodenberger, Mary Catherine (Nate) Williams, Elijah, Carter, Quinn, Conor, Owen, Brooks, Griffin, Nolan, Corbin, Collins and Carly; and other relatives, including sisters-in-law, Debbi (Roger) Malone, Joy Hays and Dotty (Mark) Dugle. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Schooley of First Presbyterian Church of Marysville will officiate and private interment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for food and fellowship following the service at the Marysville First United Methodist Church Burnside Family Life Center.
