Ronald D. Miller, age 79, of Marysville, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

Ron served in the United States Army after high school where he was stationed on the mountain rescue team in Colorado. He worked at the Better Business Bureau for much of his professional career where he dedicated himself in promoting ethics in business and served as president of the organization for many years until his retirement. A loving and devoted family man, Ron cherished his wife and children. He traveled all over the United States with his family and eventually journeyed on a “dream trip” with his wife to Europe. He loved card and game nights with friends, dinners and BBQs with family, doubles tennis and bowling league, and fishing with his kids and grandkids.  He was a dedicated grandfather and attended every play, performance and sports event that his grandkids were involved in.

Ron was born November 8, 1941 in Elyria, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Iva Miller.  He was one of five children with sisters, Kathy and Marilyn and brothers, Lawrence and Russell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Schiering Miller. He is survived by his daughter, Christy (Randy) Murphy of Marysville; his son, Greg (Lisa) Miller of Powell; and his grandchildren, Madi (Ian) Flading-Mayberry, Joshua Murphy, Emily Miller, Owen Miller and Jacob Miller; and many other relatives and friends.  The family will hold private services.
