Rachel A. Price Nauman, age 77, of West Mansfield, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. For over 20 years, she served at Ohio Wesleyan University in the housekeeping department. She worked in the student Union and the Branch Rickey Arena. Through her housekeeping work at the university, she formed many dear friendships with student athletes and faculty. She was a lifelong member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church where she was married and attended for many years. She was a member and past president of AmVets Post 102 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts and especially liked making homemade greeting and birthday cards which she sent to family and friends for many years. She also loved traveling with her husband, Larry, and liked gardening and canning her vegetables. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother of strength, kindness and generosity and for “tolerating” her dear husband of 58 years. She was born July 16, 1943 in Union County, Ohio to the late George and Zelia Lockwood Price. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jim and George Price; a sister-in-law, Judy Roberts; and her father-and mother-in-law, Roland and Dorothy Mace Nauman. Rachel is survived by her husband, Larry A. Nauman, whom she married April 1, 1962; her children, Lori (Thomas) Justice of Ostrander, Lynn Nauman of Delaware, Renee Hunt of Delaware and Larry (Sheila) Nauman of Paintsville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Misty (Jon) Popovich, Kristi (Brad) Grooms, Jesse (Rachel) Justice, Jerod (Sophia) Justice, Jacob Justice, Emma Justice, Cristina (Ruben) Wallace-Rojas, Jimmy (Tia) Clarke, Randy (Alyssa) Hunt, Cory Hunt, Jeremy (Jennifer) Morris, Brandon Morris, Spencer Nauman, Tyler Morris and Hunter Nauman; her great-grandchildren, William “Liam,” Zoey, Evelyn, Bayleigh, Alivia, Charlotte, Caroline, Autumn, Aurelius, Rylee, Kaden, Khylie, Kennedie, Kali, Gavin, Cohen, Crew, Camden, Calloway, Jayse, Cooper, Cierra and Aria; her sisters, Jennie Tapp of Mississippi and Zella (Mike) Mullins of Tennessee; her brother, David Price of Urbana; her in-laws, Sheila Price of Urbana, Judy Price of Magnetic Springs and Chuck Nauman of Delaware. At Rachel’s request, no services will be held. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
