Paul LeRoy “Jr.” Fogle, age 74, of Ostrander, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was a former associate of Wagner Electric in Hilliard where he worked with brake shoe alignment. He also was a former employee of Toddler Inn Daycare in Delaware where he served as a cook and maintenance man. A member of First Baptist Church of Marysville, he liked woodworking, fishing and attending stock car races. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Washington Redskins fan. He was known for his famous peanut brittle and made many pounds of the candy for Christmas gifts each year. A loving husband and father, he was a gentleman who could be truly counted on when needed. He was born May 17, 1943 in Union County the youngest of nine children to the late Paul J. and Margaret Allemang Fogle. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, David, Lee, Georgie, Grace, Wanda and Clara. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Ann Speicher Fogle whom he married February 14, 1971; three sons, Marlin (Allison) Fogle of Birmingham, Alabama; Michael (Betty) Fogle of Ostrander and Paul “LeRoy” Fogle, II of Ostrander; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Stockwell and Sally Claxton; a brother-in-law, Ken (Kathy) Speicher; a sister-in-law, Patricia Speicher; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Peter Hamilton will officiate and burial will be at Newhouse Cemetery in Scioto Township, Delaware County. A luncheon will be held at First Baptist Church, Chestnut St., Marysville following the cemetery interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
