Oakley J. Estep

Oakley J. Estep, age 84, of Marysville, died peacefully Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his home with his wife, Glenna, at his side.  He was a retired associate of O.M. Scott and Sons after 37 years as a machine operator in the printing department. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting. He also liked the camaraderie at McDonald’s for morning coffee. He was born March 26, 1937 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Oakley and Esta Lemaster Estep. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Shreve Mackey; a son, Dale A. Estep; his sisters Alka Estep, Betty Lemaster and Mary Elizabeth Estep; and his brothers, Everett Estep and James Earl Estep; and his former wife, Georgianna Daum Estep. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Glenna Murphy Bowen Estep, whom he married September 9, 1991; his son, Jeffrey Estep of Oklahoma; his daughter, Deborah Blinn of Marysville; two step-daughters, Maria Bowen of Marysville and April Ballard (Frank) Long of Milford Center; his grandchildren, Joshua Blinn, Codie (Amber) Shreve, Kyle Mackey and Sarah Coe; his step-grandchildren, Dale (Olivia) Pyles, Jr., Tina (Joseph) Kirk, Jordan Bowen and Dewey, Danny and Abbygayle Ballard; his great-grandchildren, Celine Blinn, Oakley Shreve, Coen Shreve, Miley Mackey and Ivy Coe; his step-great-grandchildren, Owen and Myah Pyles and Gavin, Jade and Kendra Kirk; his brothers, Hobert and Marvin Estep; a sister, Gladys Melvin; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Marysville Free Will Baptist Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Union Township Cemetery in Milford Center.  Pastor Paul Bogenrife will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Loving Care Hospice of Union County.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwoodfuneralhome.com.
