Nettie Lowry, age 87, of Ostrander, died Monday, April 18, 2022 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was a retired associate of Ranco in Plain City where she served in various capacities for over 50 years. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chuckery. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and dancing, especially line and square dancing. She liked socializing with friends and seemed to be “always on the go.” A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was proud of her family and lived life to the fullest. Always helping her friends, she was loved by all those who knew her. She was born December 29, 1934 in Union County to the late Arnold E. G. and Verna M. (Amerine) Rausch. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Charles Lowry, Jr. and her siblings, Dorothy VanDyke, Arthur “Mike” Rausch and James Rausch. She is survived by her children, Charles (Linda) Lowry, Chad (Beth) Lowry and Cheryl (Jim) Stults, all of Ostrander; her grandchildren, April (Jeremy) Scowden, Chet Lowry, Amie (Jordon) Geyer, Robert “RC” Stults and Alyson Stults; her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Troy Scowden, Charlie and Caedan Lowry and Grant, Gage and Gibson Geyer; her in-laws, Virginia Rausch, Louise Rausch and Vivian and Ronald Noggle; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday.
