Myles David Dawson

Myles David Dawson, age 29, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Columbus.  A 2007 graduate of Marysville High School, he was an enthusiastic manager of his family’s business, Wildcat Pizza in Richwood. Aside from assisting his family’s endeavors, he was in a marketing career with GSD Media in Columbus. A brand ambassador for Ohio Dynasty clothing company, he enjoyed keeping up on his physical fitness. He also enjoyed showing horses and golfing. A member of Marysville Grace Church, he was a charismatic encourager, preaching his message of personal growth to all ages.  As a youth motivational speaker, he was an advocate for drug prevention and rehabilitation. He was transparent through his personal recovery and proud of his accomplishments.  His charismatic smile and boisterous laughter made those who followed him feel empowered and encouraged.  His legacy touched many hearts virtually and in person.  A loving son, brother and uncle, his main message in life was to push others toward strength and dignity. He used his firsthand experiences to influence his friends, family and community and was determined to “change the next generation.” Loved by all, young or old, he was a friend to everyone, regardless of their path in life. He dove into his passions wholeheartedly and lived life completely.  Above all, he loved his family, especially being an uncle to his adoring niece, Hensley. His positive attitude, infectious smile and contagious energy were unparalleled. He was born August 27, 1988 in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harriette and Herb Yenser and Dolores and Maurice Dawson.  He is survived by his parents, Tim (Krista) Dawson of Marysville and Malinda “Mindy” (Steve Mills) Yenser Westlake of Delaware; his brothers, Logan (Taylor) Dawson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Andrew Dawson of Marysville; his half-sister, Mali Dawson of Marysville; his half-brother, Nathan Stout of Columbus; and his step-brother and sisters, Nick, Allie and Jenna Rioch, all of Marysville; his step-grandfather, Milt Seiler; his aunts and uncles, Judy Skidmore, Cindy (David) Kingry, Randy Yenser, Randy (Trish) Dawson, Sandy Irons, Debbie (Doug) Ellars and Kara (Mark) Slonecker; his niece, Hensley Dawson; and many other relatives and good friends. The family will receive friends 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street in Marysville.  A gathering to celebrate Myles’ life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Marysville Grace Church, 17240 Amrine-Wood Road in Marysville. Pastor Clancy Cruise will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Impact60 at http://www.impact60.org/donate/.
