Mary Louise Sharp Coner, age 92, of Marysville, died peacefully Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Heritage Senior Living with her son and daughter at her side. A homemaker, she worked at Northern Lights “Harmony House” where she was a salesclerk with Hallmark cards and collectibles. She also was an associate for Dispatch Consumer Services. A 1947 graduate of West High School in Columbus, Mary was a Browns, Bengals, Reds and Buckeyes fan. Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandmother. She was born July 29, 1929 in Columbus to the late George and Dorothy Gorby Sharp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Frank Edward Coner; her step-father, Melvin Duvall; her daughter, Patricia Conklin; a brother, George Sharp; a grandson, Dale Conklin; and a son-in-law, Roy “Tweety” Young. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Young of Ostrander; her son, Scott (Josephine) Coner of Fenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Heath (Trisha) Conklin, Craig Breckenridge, Shawn (Mike) Gurrola-Coner, Travis Coner, Jordan Coner, Jessica (Tom) Panagopoulos and Joe (Laura) Young; and her great-grandchildren, Grant and Stella Young, Payton and Maebree Conklin, Jackxon Breckenridge and Isla and Lily Panagopoulos. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor John Kauffman will officiate and burial will be at Union Cemetery in Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Tranquility Hospice Memorial Fund or American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
