Mary Ann Guisinger, of Marysville, died on her 86th birthday, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Named the Memorial Hospital “Employee of the Year” in 1980, she retired from Memorial Hospital of Union County where she was associated for 25 years as a bookkeeper. She was also a former associate with the accounting office of John Gray Accounting. In 1992, she moved to Naples, Florida where she worked at her mobile park until 2000. A member of Marysville First United Methodist Church, she was a member of PERI and served as the group’s treasurer two terms. She enjoyed fishing and traveled many years on a fishing trip to Minnesota with her loving companion, Marlin Johnson. She was an accomplished bowler and participated in the local ladies’ league for many years. She also liked watching soap operas and was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She was born March 20, 1933 in Rasaca to the late Leo and Martha “Opal” Henson Guisinger and was preceded in death in 1990 by her companion, Marlin Johnson; her siblings and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Aaron Holycross, Jerry Banks, Keith Guisinger, Sam Guisinger, Betty Bradford, Herman “Butch” Guisinger and Pauline and Albert Ianni. She is survived by her daughter, Luanne (Floyd) Grubbs of Broadway; her son, David (Vickie) Guisinger of Corbin, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Floyd (April) Grubbs, Jennifer Smith, Richard Brisson and Chris Guisinger; her great-grandchildren, Zachery Grubbs, Christine Grubbs, Tristan Holstein, Taylor Holstein, James Bowsher, Jr., Trevor (Tabi) Brisson and Jeremy (Miranda) Brisson; two sisters, Imogene(Paul) Reigel and Bernice Banks; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Guisinger and Shirley Guisinger; her uncle, Clarence Henson; and many nieces and nephews; and the special family of Tom and Linda Cunningham. Rev. Kathy Reiff will officiate funeral services to be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Private interment will be held at a later date.
