Marjorie Helen Collins Frye, age 87, of Marysville, Ohio formerly of Dayton, Ohio died Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Memorial Gables. A homemaker and resident of The Bluebird Retirement Community, she was a volunteer at the Morey Information Desk at Memorial Hospital where she accrued 332 hours. She enjoyed playing cards and taking trips with friends to the casino. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. She and her late husband, Bobby Jack, raised their children in Dayton where she was a long-standing member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was born April 18, 1932 in Greeneville, Tennessee to the late Perry and Nell Payne Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bobby Jack Frye; her daughter, Debra Lynn Frye Gieseler; a brother, Perry Collins, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, David H. Carls. She is survived by her son, Douglas (Debbie) Frye of Advance, North Carolina; her daughter, Jill (Christopher) Brown of Marysville; six grandchildren, Brooke Gieseler, Dustin Frye, Hannah Brown, Madeline Brown, Evan Brown and Henry Brown; two sisters, Marlene Carls and Carolyn (Charles) Howard; a sister-in-law, Victoria Collins; a brother-in-law, William (Margaret) Frye; and nieces and nephews. Rev. Sara McSwords will officiate funeral services to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville where visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be held the same day at 1:30 p.m. at Shiloh Park Cemetery in Dayton.
