Marian S Graham

November 30, 1918 - March 10, 2014

Marian Southard Graham, 95, a lifetime resident of Marysville, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Carriage Court Assisted Living in Marysville. A 1936 graduate of Marysville High School, she attended Ohio Wesleyan University for two years and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1940 with a major in elementary education. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was an active member of Marysville First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Womens Society of Christian Service, Circle of Light, Aletheia Society and Memorial Hospital of Union County Auxiliary Twig 6. An avid golfer and bridge player, she was a longtime member of Marysville County Club and competed in the club championship for thirty years, winning eleven times. She was born November 30, 1918 in Marysville to the late Edward F. and Anabel Schoedinger Southard and was also predeceased by her husband Robert Walter Graham, whom she married September 7, 1940 in Marysville by the Rev. Edwin Swinburn; her sisters, Frances Southard Neer, Margaret Southard Henrie and Catherine Southard Howard. She is survived by a daughter, Martha S. (Tom) DeGood Fromm of Clearwater, FL; a son, Robert (Judith) Graham of Huron; six grandchildren, Susan (Dawane) Wanek, David, John and Andrew (Mary Corrine) DeGood and Timothy (Jennifer) Graham and Megan (Jeremy) Russell; four great grandchildren, Kathryn and Colby Hodge and Caleb and Quinn DeGood. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marysville First United Methodist Church, Loving Care Hospice or a charity of choice.
