Lucille ElizabethWade, 101, of Marysville, died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at The Gables at Green Pastures. She was housemother for the United Methodist Childrens’ Home in Worthington, Ohio and the Oxford Childrens’ Home in Oxford, North Carolina. During her younger years, she was a retail sales clerk for Murphy Stores in Gallipolis. A member of Hawthorne United Methodist Church in Charlotte, she was a 48-year member of Order of Eastern Star. She has been a resident of Marysville for the past 13 years where she moved to be closer to her family. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and gardening. She was born November 29, 1910 in Gallipolis to the late Oscar Frank and Ada Mossman Wade and was also predeceased by two brothers, Albert Wade and Milo Wade; a sister, Dora Wade; and a niece, Anne Hill. She is survived by three nephews, Brian (Sharon) Wade of Marysville, Francis (Nancy) Wade of Delaware and Bill (Ruth) Wade of Delaware; a niece, Carol Riemenschneider of Westerville; great nephews and nieces, Kevin (Becky) Wade, Clark (Jill) Wade, Barry (Beth) Wade, Michelle (Sam) Noyes, Pam (Jim) Ward, Patti Freeh, Mark Hill, Thomas Hill, Michael (Libby) Hill, Jeff (Sandy) Wade, Ted (Linn) Wade, Scott (Bethany) Riemenschneider, Todd (Lindsey) Riemenschneider and Erin (Travis) Woodworth; and many great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville, Ohio, where the family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Rev. Carrie Given will officiate. Private interment will be held at Mound Hill Cemetery in Gallipolis.
