Lucille Fields Coleman, age 83, of Galena, formerly of the Linden area in Columbus, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was an associate of Hercules Trousers in Columbus where she was a material handler for over 20 years. She was also a former employee of Orton’s Foundation in Westerville. She was a member of United Baptist Church in Fairborn. She enjoyed crafts and working in her flower garden. She loved Christmas so much, that she lived the season year around. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born November 18, 1934 in Martin County, Kentucky to the late Rev. Cecil and Kennie Moore Fields. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elmer S. Coleman, whom she married May 9, 1953 in Inez, Kentucky; her daughter, Connie (Lee) Froehlich of Marysville; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Jasmine) Froehlich, Tonya Fransen, Jacob (Amy) Froehlich, James (Tilbi) Froehlich and Valerie Froehlich; nine great-grandchildren, Landon, Layla, Owen, Emma, Clara, Elise, Luke, Lucy and Emmett; her sisters, Udell Crum, Louise (Bob) Breeding, Emma Cremeans, Molly (Robert) Davis and Polly (Delmer) Mills; her brother, John (Mary) Fields; two sisters-in-law, Louise Stepp and Betty Coleman; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville where the family will receive friends on hour prior to the service. Rev.
