Lori Furrow, age 61, of Eureka, South Dakota and formerly of Marysville passed away at her home Saturday, March 4, 2023 following a short battle with cancer.
Lori Jean Helfenstine, daughter of Lois (Pugh) and James Helfenstine was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on October 2, 1961. She grew up in East Liberty, Ohio, with her three younger siblings.
Lori’s children Josh, Jesse, Justin, Jana, and Jovanna, from her previous marriage (1981-2015) to Ed Howard, brought her much joy. In her earlier years, she and her family enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains, camping, and hiking. She loved going to Christian music festivals, such as Lifelight and Hills Alive. She found much pleasure in reading and sharing books with her children.
In 2019, she remarried to Dannie Furrow in a private ceremony on the Island of Kauai. As time went on, she still liked being outside, caring for her garden, and tending to her plants inside and outside of the house. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchild. She spent a lot of her time renovating and decorating her house in Eureka that she inherited from her parents, making it hers. She loved spending time with her dogs.
Throughout her entire life, her faith was a constant. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
