June 23, 2022
Larry Joseph Wisse, age 72, of Marysville, peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side. As an information technology professional, he was associated in the telecommunications field until his retirement. Also a barber, he worked for a short time at Edie’s Barbershop in uptown Marysville. His first “love” was music as he was accomplished on many stringed instruments, especially the banjo with a fondness for bluegrass. His musical talents were a true “gift from God” as he could play anything by ear. For the past ten years, he dedicated his music primarily to the Lord as he performed with the worship band at church. He played at Bellefontaine and Marysville Grace Churches. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Archery became a passion later in life. Known as a humble and kind Christian man, he was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He was born March 10, 1950 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Charles and Denelda Bostleman Wisse. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda A. Sherman Wisse, whom he married on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1979; his daughter, Tracy L. Wisse of Washington, D.C.; his brother, Glenn (Tina) Wisse of New Philadelphia; and other relatives and good friends, including his former wife, Donna M. Kise of Marysville. In honoring Larry’s wishes, his family will hold A Celebration of Life gathering at a later date to be announced. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Bellefontaine or Marysville Grace Churches. Condolences may be expressed at www.underwoodfuneralhome.com.
