Kendall Eugene Overturf, age 65, of Marysville, died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his home. He was a retired maintenance technician with the United States Postal Service. He began his career at the Columbus Twin Rivers Drive facility and later continued his service at City Gate Postal Service Processing Plant until his retirement in July of this year. He was a veteran of the United States Army Airborne Division. A member of Marysville Christian Church, he helped with Bible school and as a greeter. He enjoyed collecting stamps and model trains. He was born April 30, 1956 in Ironton to the late Robert and Wanda Payne Overturf and was also preceded in death by his sister, Frances Sweeney. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Hibbs of Irwin and Crystal (Paddy) MacUidhir of Morristown, Tennessee; four grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and James Overturf; a sister, Theresa Overturf; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including his work partner, Adele. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Marysville Christian Church, 17000 Waldo Road, Marysville, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Ed Beeson will officiate. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway. Memorial contributions may be made to Union County Cancer Society.
