Keith Paul Becker

Keith Paul Becker, 78, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away on April 27, 2023. Keith was born on June 9, 1944, in Marinette, Wisconsin to Reverend Edwin and Henrietta (Draeger) Becker.

Keith graduated from Campbellsport High School, Campbellsport, Wisconsin in 1962. He received a Bachelor of Music from Heidelberg University, Tiffin, Ohio in 1966. After graduating, he taught instrumental music in the Marion City School, which included Assistant Band Director at Marion Harding High School, Marion, Ohio, and then later instructed all areas of music in Triad School System, North Lewisburg, Ohio. In 1975, Keith received a Master of Arts from The Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio.

After teaching, Keith worked a variety of occupations including Whirlpool Corporation (Marion, Ohio), KB Pizza (Prospect, Ohio), Kroger Company (Marion, Ohio), Marion County Fire Department and Prospect Battle Run Fire Department (EMT).

Keith was an active church musician, sharing his gifts over the years with the congregations of Emanual Lutheran Church, Marion Ohio; St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Prospect, Ohio; Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville, Ohio; and the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Marysville, Ohio.

Keith had a love for music, as well as animals, especially German shepherds, border collies and spunky cats!

Keith is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Becker) Duffy and his grandchildren, Ava and Eden, Chicago, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Sue Becker, nieces Kathryn B. (Anthony) Becker-Cummins with great-nephews, Jordan, Jacob, Nate and Wyatt; and Wendy (Alex) Abate and great-nephews, Alex, Anthony and Nicholas.

A service of celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville, Ohio. The family will receive friends during food and fellowship after the service in the church’s Cana Hall.
