Kathy Anne Hildebrandt Stultz, age 65, of Marysville, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Heartland of Marysville following a short illness. A homemaker, she had a passion in caring for animals and was a volunteer for the Union County Humane Society. She was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Marysville. As she and her husband raised their child, Megan, she decided to join her daughter’s hobby and took up adult indoor competitive speed skating. She grew up in the Los Angeles, California area where she graduated from high school. She was born December 3, 1948 in Syracuse, New York to the late Ernest and Vernice Haynes Hildebrandt. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, John C. Stultz; her daughter Megan, a senior at The Ohio State University; a brother, Barry (Brenda) Hildebrandt of Utah; her mother-in-law, Gretchen Stultz of Mount Vernon; two brothers-in-law, Ben Stultz of Mount Vernon and Tom (Lois) Stultz of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 12 noon Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Marysville where the family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow for family and guests. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Union County Humane Society. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
