Junior F. Tignor, age 75, of Marysville, died early Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at OhioHealth Hospice Kobacker House in Columbus. An auto mechanic, he was an associate of Wilson Motors for many years. He was also a former associate of Rockwell International. As a farmhand, he and his father, Clarence, assisted Dr. Malcolm MacIvor on his farm, Oakland, throughout “Doc’s” family practice for several decades. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved watching westerns and reading western books. During his younger years, he liked playing guitar and was known for playing many favorites, including “Wildwood Flower.” He was born July 20, 1939 in Rupert, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Una Lockhart Tignor and was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Goddard and a special friend, John Kaffenbarger. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Housman Tignor, whom he married August 30, 1966 in Plain City; three sons, Anthony, Stephen and Rodney Tignor, all of Marysville; seven grandchildren, Evelyn, Anthony, Adam, Kodey, Pvt. Kelsey, Pvt. Justin and Kisandra; a great grandson, Hunter; his sister, Ardella (Herb) Baxley; a nephew, Michael (Peggy) Goddard; a niece, Stacy (Scott) Faller; two step-nephews, Tracey and Nelson Baxley; a great niece, Chelsey Goddard; and many other relatives and special friends, including Ray Young of Columbus.
