Judith Ann Burson Cotter, age 70, of Marysville, died peacefully Monday, August 31, 2015 at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital. Despite a series of health challenges, especially heart complications for many years, she maintained an active and vibrant lifestyle. She enjoyed the camaraderie of her loving friends for countless breakfasts, lunches and dinners. She was constantly committed to the well-being of her family and was a tireless presence in the lives of her children. She will be remembered for her encouraging attitude, her modest and flexible character and her uplifting grin. A 1963 graduate of Marysville High School, she retired in 2003 from Marysville Schools where she served as a bus driver for more than 25 years. She was also a former driver for Union County Board of Development Disabilities. She attended Marysville Grace Church and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a member of Marysville and Community Seniors. She was born February 10, 1945 in Marysville to the late Paul and Mary Fox Burson. She was also predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 44 years, Murph Cotter, whom she married November 20, 1965; her brother, Steve Burson; and her sister, Barbara Park. She is survived by her children, Sean (Lisa) Cotter of Dublin, Shannon (Chris) Moyer of Zionsville, IN; Morgan (Mandy) Cotter of Marysville; and Patrick (Joey) Cotter of Marysville; four grandchildren, Anna, Erin, Sullivan and Nola Cotter; her siblings, Joyce (Bill) Clark, Sue (Charlie) Argo, Jim (Jen) Burson and John (Jodie) Burson; three sisters-in-law, Mary Jo (Hal) Hyde, Kathie Cotter and Betty Kaps; three brothers-in-law, Paul (Carol) Cotter, Bob (Kathy) Cotter and Patrick Cotter; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and devoted friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Underwood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Marysville Grace, 17240 Amrine-Wood Road. Pastor Clancy Cruise will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Senior Center activity fund.
