Johnnie was a remarkable Renaissance woman - one of a kind, with so many talents and interests! She was so proud of her grandson, and loved talking about him! I’ll never forget her! Condolences to her family.

My family and I have known Johnnie and Todd for many decades. Todd helped my grandfather, Lawrence Hall, with legal issues and, I am very proud to say, was instrumental in guiding me as a youngster. He gave me advice on saving and investing and piqued my interest in collecting art. I can still remember Johnnie on the tall ladder cutting branches out of the big trees in her front yard and Todd walking to the office each day. Johnnie had such devotion to the Columbus Museum and I share that commitment. I am very sad to see that Johnnie has passed and wish her peace in heaven.

What a great lady and wonderful friend! Johnnie, you will forever be missed. I am grateful for the history of the community that you shared with the library and it lives on! I was always so happy to see you when you would stop in after you moved to Delaware. Thank you Johnnie. God speed.

Johnnie and I met back in 2009 when I moved into the condo beside her at Willow Brook Delaware Run. We became very good friends, sharing a number of day trips together as well meals together (especially during the COVID lock-downs). We both shared the love for gardening. I will miss our daily interactions.

I only met Johnnie when we moved to Willowbrook in 2013, though I worked in the Marysville High School for years and was a good friend of mutual friend Kay Liggett. I knew her mostly as a remarkable gardener, who by sheer grit and perseverance turned a hillside into an astonishing prairie. Deepest sympathies on the loss of this remarkable woman, a truly great soul.
