Kathy and Family, Please accept our condolences in John's passing. My mind travels back to my wedding nearly 23 years ago when you all came to Bowling Green to attend my wedding, without even giving us any heads up that you were coming! What a surprise, and just goes to show what kind of people you all are. We've kept up with your family and have enjoyed being connected through Facebook the last few years, even at a long distance. May John rest in peace, and prayers of comfort for all. God bless.

So sorry to hear of the passing of John. A person who never meet a stranger, would always lend a helping hand, and appreciated those that helped him. We will always remember his wheeling and dealing with that funny smirk of a smile! Rest in Peace and we all will see you again someday.

Deb, Ashton and the rest of the Guthrie family, I am so sorry about John's passing. I think my dad and John were so much alike in different ways. Now they can tell stories to each other. I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I didn’t get to see John just having him still here anchored me to the Guthries somehow. He always treated me like I was special as I know he probably did to everyone he interacted with. He was a Guthrie through and through but he was an example to me that even a Guthrie can be kind, loving and Godly. He will be missed.

Condolences to all the Family.. John was a great Christian Gentleman, Friend & Coworker. He will be surely missed by his family & friends. I will always remember at Work or at Fellowship get togethers. John saying he liked to "Eat the Desert first". “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Bye Ole Buddy

Dear Kathy and family, We wish to express our sympathies to you in the homegoing of John. Although he is with the Lord, there is grief and sorrow as he is missed by you so much. John was an encourager and a servant at heart. We appreciated his "here to serve and here to help" attitude which he showed us so often while we were in Delaware. He was a beloved brother. We are praying for you to know the comforting and sustaining grace of God. We love you! In Christ's love, Dave & Carolyn Culver
