Jo Ann "Jody" Viers Anderson-Schuette

Jo Ann “Jody” Viers Anderson-Schuette, age 65, of Delaware, formerly of Marysville, died Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home. She was a retired sales associate for the Columbus Dispatch and was former owner of J-2 Creations ad specialties in Delaware. She was a 1968 graduate of Marysville High School. She was one of the proud founders of “The Coyote Club” with her elementary classmates. She enjoyed knitting and reading and especially loved her pet dogs, Zoey, Sydney, Willy and Jordon. She will be remembered for her spunk, generosity and ornery sense of humor. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.  She was born September 28, 1950 in Delaware and was preceded in death by her mother, Floretta Oberle Viers; her sister, Joyce Segner; and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Bruce C. Schuette, whom she married June 14, 2006 in Key West, FL; her children, Jeff Anderson of Columbus and Jared (Meredith Boise and daughter, Aaliyah Boise) Anderson of Dublin; her step-children, Matthew and Daniel Schuette, both of Dublin; her father, Homer Viers of Marysville; a sister, Janice (Roger) Glassburn of Marysville; a brother Donnie (Diane) Viers of Marysville; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Mary Ann Crothers) Segner of Marysville; nieces and nephews, Jason (Brandy) Segner, Jennifer (Brent) Segner-Maxwell, Jeremy (Kim) Segner, Joel (Ally) Glassburn, Buffi Novotney, Connor Viers, Mary Bond and Sarah Bond; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kylee, Karly and Brice Segner, Jackson and Maya Segner, Oliver and Bella Fox, Rileigh and Jake Glassburn and Ashley and Ryan Novotney; her former husband, Mike Anderson; and many other relatives and friends, including Anna Segner. The family will receive friends 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made Union County Cancer Society.
