Jesse Sepeda

Jesse Sepeda, age 52, of Marysville, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at OhioHealth Hospice Kobacker House in Columbus.  He was an associate of Core Molding Technology (CMT) in Columbus since 1994, and was promoted to a supervisor in 2013. He was a stellar employee and was deeply committed to his occupation.  However, his family was his ultimate passion.  A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, he was also a mentor to many athletes in the Marysville community. A baseball, football and wrestling coach, he revived the Marysville Mitts Travel Baseball Team during the early 2000’s and served as the team’s president for eight years. He also was head coach for the Marysville Youth Wrestling Organization for nine years, coached the Marysville Middle School wrestling program for four years and was head coach for eight years with the Marysville Youth Football Association. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, golfing and camping with his family.  He also liked playing fast-pitch softball. He was a big Cincinnati Bengals, Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and had a close affiliation with the OSU wrestling team. He was known as an incredibly charming, humble man with an infectious smile and laugh.  He grew up in Fremont, Ohio and was a 1985 graduate of Fremont Ross High School where he was a member of the wrestling and football teams. He was born September 20, 1965 in Houston, Texas to Angelita Becerra Sepeda of Fremont and the late Juan Sepeda.  He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Ronnie Sanchez; his father-in-law, Herbert Martin; and two brothers-in-law, Marvin Martin and Stephen Martin.  He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Charlotte Martin Sepeda, whom he married May 28, 1993 in Marysville; his children, Josey (Leah) Neidhart of Hilliard, Adam (Stephanie) Richmond of Canal Winchester, Kasie Sepeda of Marysville and Alex Sepeda of Marysville; three grandchildren, Jordan, Nora and August Neidhart; his siblings, Juan (Susan) Sepeda of Curtice, Ohio, Rual (Elizabeth) Sepeda of Seguin, Texas, Josephine Finn of Lakeview, Gloria Sepeda (Bill Wheeler) of Fremont, Julia Sanchez of Woodville, Virginia (Tracy) Lewis of Lindsey, Victor Sepeda of Fremont and Helen Sepeda of Gibsonburg, Ohio;  his mother-in-law, Jennie Martin of Marion; his brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Martin of Overland Park, Kansas, Kay Martin of Lantana, Texas, Beverly (Terry) Kreis of Caledonia, Marsha (Jeff) Snare of Findlay, Carol (Terry) Bray of Amelia, Rita (Leo) Webber of Galion and Christine (Joe) Martin of Marion; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Marysville Church of the Nazarene, 1126 North Maple Street, Marysville. Pastors Tom Powers and John Herdman will officiate.
