Jennifer Jane Barrett Wright, 61, of Marysville, died early Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her energetic personality, witty sense of humor and kind heart outshined her many ailments and struggles throughout the years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Marysville where she was a former member of the choir. She was an encourager and strong supporter to many who struggled with sobriety and was very proud of her own longtime abstinence. She liked to read, especially her Bible and was the happiest when she was around her family. A former resident of Delaware County, she attended Delaware Hayes High School. She was born April 5, 1951 in Mt. Gilead to the late Ottis and A. Viola Talbott Barrett and was also predeceased by two sisters, Rebecca Joanne Furniss and Gypsy L. Matney; a brother-in-law, Richard Andrews; a niece, Cheryl Taylor and a nephew, Robert Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ronald E. Wright, whom she married February 28, 1991 at the Marysville Congregational Church; three sons, Chad Dench of Waterloo, Indiana and Thomas Wright and Robert Wright, both of Marysville; three grandchildren, Meghan Dench and Natalia and Nicholas Wright; two sisters, Hope Andrews of Delaware and Sharon (Lyle) Wheelock of Cheboygan, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Fred Matney of Centerburg and James Furniss of Jacksonville, Florida; an aunt, Flora Jane (Jim) Roeder of Danville; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday October 24, at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Fred Bowman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 540 Officenter Place, Suite 100, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
