Jeff "Beef" Harrington

October 15, 2021

Jeffrey Wayne Harrington, age 61, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Friday, October 15, 2021 at Memorial Hospital. Lovingly known as “Beef” to family and friends, he was a 1978 graduate of Marysville High School. He was a longtime tow truck driver for Kirby’s Towing, and most recently served as a commercial trucker and hauler for numerous construction projects. His love for trucks began as a youngster when he played with Tonka trucks and anything with wheels. His enthusiasm continued throughout his life with truck and tractor pulls and building his own monster truck. Early in his career, he operated “Beef’s Maintenance,” a lawn seeding company. He had a great passion for his German Shepherd dogs, “Hans” and “Gretchen.” He enjoyed the camaraderie with friends at the Millcreek VFW Post 3320 and will fondly be remembered for lending a hand to those stranded on the road in desperate need of help. He was born February 6, 1960 in Marysville and was preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Harrington and his nephews, Garrett Thomas Harrington and Paul “Adam” Troesch. He is survived by his mother, Judith Gibson Harrington; his siblings, Julie (Paul) Troesch and Jason (Kellena) Harrington; his nieces and nephews, Kristen Troesch, Anna, Preston and Rachel Harrington; his great nephews and nieces, Ethan, Eva, Elizabeth, Hayden, Savannah, Aubrey, Isabelle, Payton and Gunner; his uncle, Bill (Helen) Gibson; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 3320.
