Jeffrey Lee Andrews, age 55, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home. A paramedic and firefighter, he was a former associate of Kare Medical Transport and was formerly on staff at Liberty Township Fire Department and Northern Union County Fire and EMS. He served as a volunteer for Leesburg Township and East Liberty. A 1982 graduate of Marysville High School, he attended Trinity Lutheran grade school and church, where he was baptized and confirmed his faith. He was a member of Haven Community Church. He loved gardening, camping and fishing and was an avid Michigan football fan. He was a member Palestine Lodge No. 158 F & AM, Scottish Rite and Aladdin Shrine. He will be remembered for his tough and bullheaded demeanor amidst his tender and loving heart. He was born June 28, 1964 in Marysville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emery and Hazel Zahn and Clayton Andrews and Ida Mae Bumgartner and his cousin, Dale Andrews. He is survived by two daughters, Jenipher (Nevin) Mathys of Marion and Jackilynn (Jason Quinn) Andrews of Pharisburg; a son, Jeremy Andrews of Boone, Iowa; grandchildren, Liam, Conner, Chevy and Ott-Lee; his mother, Caroline Andrews of Marysville; his father, Jerry (Marcie) Andrews of Watkins; two brothers, Jerry Andrews of Cedar Bluff, Alabama and John (Lisa) Andrews of Waycross, Georgia; his nieces, Colleen (Dylan) Floyd and Hope Andrews; a nephew, Timothy Andrews; his aunt, Jo Zahn of Marysville; and many other relatives and friends, including Tammy McKinley. Rev. Brian Brooks will officiate funeral services to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. and where a masonic memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O.
