James Lee Kise, age 74, of Milford Center, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He retired in 2003 from Z Produce in Columbus where he worked as a transport driver for twelve years. A longtime farmer in the Milford Center area, he was also a former associate of Nestle’s. A 1961 graduate of Fairbanks High School, he was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a ball cap collector and will be sorely missed by his 16-year-old feline companion, Rusty. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and compassion for others. He was born March 4, 1943 in Madison County to the late William and Christine McClaskey Kise. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Kise; a nephew, Randy Mullins; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy Kise and Gladys Kise. He is survived by three sisters, Norma King of Milford Center, Earlene Bell of Milford Center and Bernice (Fred) Henault of Marysville; three brothers, William (Pat) Kise of Urbana, Roger (Donna) Kise of Milford Center and Larry (Audrey) Kise of Plain City; his nieces and nephews, Steve (Candy) Kise, Debbie (Richard) Wolford, Mike (Connie) Kise, Neal (Tina) Kise, Jackie (Curt) Booth, Charles (Sheila) Mullins, Sam (Judy) Mullins, Gloria Dial, Cindy (Rob) Ross, Vicky (Terry) Landreth, Frank Stiltner, Roosevelt Stiltner, Wendy (Chuck) Young, Kelly (Grace) Kise, Kathy Lamb, Shannon Mitchell, Carlena Bowen, Tony (Angie) Estep, John (Barbara) Bell, Tammy (Mike) Rausch, Mark (Susan) Kise, Todd (Cathy) Kise, Craig (Kelly) Kise, Keith (Joy) Kise, David (Anna) Kise, Jeff (Jeanine) Henault, Tonya (Bill) Jordan and Fred (Melissa) Henault, Jr.; and many great nieces and nephews and other relatives, including a great niece, Sara Rutan. Interment of ashes will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Broadway Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Allen Center Baptist Church.
