James E. Rafferty, age 69, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital. He was a 21-year associate of Midwest Express where he worked as a forklift operator. He was a 1968 graduate of Fairbanks High School and attended Bible Baptist Church in Marysville. He enjoyed woodworking and liked building furniture. He was born November 16, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio to the late William and Helen McCarty Rafferty. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Rafferty; and a grandson, Chris Lake. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Corena “Ann” Hackley Rafferty, whom he married October 17, 1970 in Rosedale, Ohio; his son, Jimmy (Jennifer) Rafferty of Marysville; his daughter, Lorie (Sonny) Lake of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Noel, Jessie, Amanda and Ben; three great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Kaylynn and Kameron; and many other relatives. A funeral procession will form at 12 noon, Monday, July 6, 2020 at Underwood Funeral Home to proceed to Oakdale Cemetery for a 12:30 graveside service.
