Howard M. Hall, age 70, of Marysville, formerly of Byesville, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Lovingly known by his family and friends as “Marty,” he was a meat cutter by trade. He was an associate of Smith Medical in Dublin and was a former associate of General Industries in Marysville. A 1969 graduate of Meadowbrook High School in Byesville, Ohio where he grew up, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed golfing and gardening. A cornhole enthusiast, he and his wife, Theresa, crafted and sold many cornhole boards. A dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be remembered mostly for his opinionated but generous personality. He was born December 30, 1950 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Howard E. and Ildreth L. Nagle Hall. Marty was also preceded in death on February 22, 2020 by a grandson, Cory Hursey. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa L. Galayda Hall, whom he married March 8, 1988 in Erie, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Tracy (Bob) Nicholson of Byesville; a stepson, Brian (Jackie) Roberts of Suffolk, Virginia; his grandchildren, Ashlie (Michael) Allen of Cumberland, Logan (Courtney) Fair of Hilliard and Carley Roberts of Suffolk; his great-grandchildren, Kailem, Dawson, Wyatt “Boogie” and Sidney; his siblings, Lynn Rosenow of Spout Spring, Virginia, Resa Kachik of Erie, Pennsylvania and Ricki Hall of New Matamoras; and many other relatives.
