Diane, We just saw this. We are so sorry for your loss. Gene was such a great supporter of all the baseball boys! Loved seeing his face light up watching his grandchildren play:) Love to you and the kids, Amy and Tim, Sam, David, Katie and Julianne

I have such fond memories of you both coming to the dentist office. We would have some interesting conversations. My memory of Gene was his funny grin. I often thought it had an ornery side to it. Just check the picture here. I will keep those memories of good times with both of you. Gene was a good man. Thinking of you this time of loss.

Diane, Was sorry to hear about Gene's passing. Know that he had a tough hill to climb for the past several years. Gene's mom and dad were always very kind to me and my parents. Please accept the belief that Gene is in a better place. Max & Karen Amrine

Thoughts and prayers for all at this difficult time. Take your time and grieve, love each other, and share your memories. I'd like also to leave a quote “A father is neither a anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose loves shows us the way.” Unknown Peace to you all.

What a wonderful photo of Gene! His sense of humor, warmth and a little bit of orneriness are certainly evident. I remember our days swimming at Indian Lake complete with Taffy, the family dog, jumping off the wood raft in front of the cottage while Uncle Lee, Aunt Mary and my mother played euchre. Such fond memories. His outlook was full of gratitude, given his health challenges. Am sending all of you my compassion and hope that you will find comfort and peace in the days ahead. Love, Melanie
