Franklin Delano Butler, Jr.

September 5, 2020

Franklin Delano Butler, Jr., age 58, of Marysville, died peacefully Saturday, September 5, 2020 in the arms of Heidi at the farm.  He was a retired welding associate of Honda of America after 33 years.  He also was a general contractor for Ames (Andy Meyer) Contract Services.  A graduate of Bellefontaine High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army.  Lovingly known as Frank, he liked golfing and riding the John Deere at the farm.  He especially cherished moments traveling back roads with Heidi on his Harley-Davidson.  Frank also enjoyed many over-the-road miles with fellow Harley riders and always looked forward to sharing a Bud Light with those he loved.  The sparkle of his beautiful blue eyes was his seven grandbabies, as he loved to snuggle them, give them “papa advice” and most of all watching and cheering them on during their sporting events.  Family events were so meaningful to him, whether spending fifteen minutes or five hours together.  He was born January 30, 1962 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Franklin Delano and Barbara Cavinder Butler, Sr.  He is survived by the love of his life, Heidi Blair-McWilliams of West Mansfield; his daughter, Amanda (Kel Deal) Butler of Centerville; his son, David (Tiffany) Butler of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Maddie, Caiden, Alissa, Brooklin, Charlotte, Lydia and Isaac; his siblings, Philis (Kevin) Brown of Tennessee, Donnie (Julie) Butler of Bellefontaine and Tammy (Chris) Burkhammer of Bellefontaine; several nieces and nephews; and other loving friends and relatives, including Nick Adams and Logan McWilliams.  The family will receive friends 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Underwood Funeral Home where a funeral procession will form at 3 p.m. in route to Jenkins Chapel Cemetery in Cable led by his Harley friends.  Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at
