Floyd M. McDaniel, 72, of Lakeview, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at Lima Memorial Hospital. A laborer, he worked for many years in Texas oil fields. While he resided in the northwestern United States, he worked as a logger and lumberjack. As a used appliance hauler, he was known around the Marysville area as “Sandy” or “Mac.” He enjoyed traveling and motorcycles. He will be most remembered as a man ready to lend a hand and a helpful neighbor. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Panama during the Korean War. He was born Christmas Day in 1940 to the late Floyd M. and Nina McDaniel, Sr. and was also predeceased by his wife, Janet and three sisters. He is survived by five children, Bonnie Emrick and Beth Ann (Robert) Shaw, both of Greenville, Carol (Lynn) Peterman of Indian Lake, Floyd McDaniel of Borger, TX and Amelia McDaniel; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many good friends.
