Liz had such a positive, powerful impact on people as she helped all individuals to widen their perspectives and open their own doors. She respected, accepted, and appreciated all people, their traditions, spiritualities, cultures, styles, and art. She had a caring heart, a quiet demeanor, and an intelligence that always had the right words to comfort, to enlighten, and to inspire. Liz would say, “If you want to percolate, you have to circulate, like coffee.” I very much enjoyed her personality, acceptance of all people, and her insights, She exemplified advocacy for children, for learning, and for personal growth. Liz had a piece of art of a rider on her horse riding to exhaustion and to the last rays of light; its title is Day is Done. It reminded me of Liz who was not “slowly meandering” through life, but was “going at full speed, taking advantage of every minute.” I’ve never met another person like her. My very deepest sympathy to her family. She loved each one of you so much; more than anything else.

Liz was a loyal friend and caring professional. She served The Columbus City Schools as a counselor and mentor to many young people who benefitted from her compassion. I shall miss our 'girl talk'. She was one of a kind. May her memory be eternal.
