Douglas Lee Cremeans, age 61, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Memorial Hospital. He was a truck driver for Wil Trans Company of Springfield, Missouri. He was also a former associate of Hagglunds Denison. A 1976 graduate of Marysville High School, he was known as a skilled mechanic and a “jack-of-all-trades.” In martial arts, he received a brown belt in Ken Po Karate. He loved fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He was born December 7, 1957 in Marysville. He was preceded in death in 1994 by his father Arl Denver Cremeans and in 2018 by his brother, Michael Denver Cremeans. He is survived by the love of his life for 18 years, Valerie Gatliff of Marysville; his mother, Arlene Spain Cremeans of Marysville; his children, Carl Cremeans of Richwood, Samuel “Joey” Cremeans of Marysville, Julianna “Julie” Cremeans of Marysville, Natalie Cremeans of Marysville, Jerrica (Mike) Newhart of Marysville, Constance Potter of Indianapolis and Hannah Potter of Marysville; his grandchildren, Emma, Connor, Caleb, Allyson, Camron, Aliyah, Jay, Justus, Aidan, Kyrah, Kailynn, Kyson and Gunner; his sister, Cathy Cremeans of Marysville; two uncles, John (Robin) Cremeans and James (Terry) Cremeans; an aunt, Virginia (Steve) Cosgray; and nieces, nephews, many other relatives and good friends. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Rev. Wayne Engle will officiate and burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery beside his brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Lung Association.
