Dorothy Mae McCain Corbin Cooperider, 89, of Marysville, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Heartland of Marysville following an extended illness. Involved in food service most of her life, she was an employee of Gary’s Hurricane Restaurant, formerly located at the Stocksdale Plaza area in Marysville. A dedicated wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed reading, puzzle books and watching Cincinnati Reds baseball. She was born August 7, 1923 in Jackson, Ohio to the late William and Clara Shear McCain and was also predeceased by her husband, Marvin E. Cooperider; her children, Wayne Corbin, Brenda Rucker, Peggy Corbin and Lisa Corbin; her grandson, Paul Corbin; and two sons-in-law, Cam Rucker and Chuck Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Wilson of Glendale, AZ, Robert (Carolyn) Corbin of Marysville, Sharon Sullivan of Marysville, Janet (Ricky) DeShazer of Marysville and Dale (Stacy) Corbin of Marysville; 20 grandchildren, Ann, Bruce, Paul, Earl Jr., Sonja, Jerry, Tami, Kathy, Kevin, Dusty, Michelle, April, Brandon, Mackenzie, Ava, Robert, Ron, Greg, Brian and Jeff; 44 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Corbin of West Mansfield; and a sister-in-law, Nadia (Don) Cooperider Bright of Marysville; and many nieces, nephews, including Alice and Woody Baker of St. Paris. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Rev. John M. Groat will officiate and burial will be held later at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
