Telthorster, Dorothy J. Schalip Of Galloway, passed on Feb 7th, 2023 at Brookdale Pinnacle in Grove City. She grew up in Marysville where she was baptized, confirmed, in the choir and married at Trinity Lutheran Church and graduated from Marysville HS. A dedicated wife of 60 years to her husband Paul F. Telthorster, a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S.A.F, 22 years. She was a former member of U.A. Lutheran Church where she was a preschool teacher for 14 years. Afterward, she was a private nanny and worked in many church nurseries until her retirement. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus where she helped sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She enjoyed her card club, cooking, baking, sewing and spending time with family and friends. She was an adored mother and “Mami” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was truly a very loving, patient and giving woman who will be forever missed.
“Dot” was born Feb 21, 1928 in Union County, the eldest daughter of the late Harry P. Schalip and Elnora Faye Trout Schalip. She also was preceded by husband Paul F. Telthorster, son Paul A. Telthorster, brother John Schalip, sisters Ruth Hix, Mona Sprague, Vila Fuleki and granddaughter Alison M. Telthorster.

She is survived by son Mark (Camie) Telthorster of Navasota, TX, daughter Janet (Larry) McGinnis of Orient; daughter-in-law Mary L. Telthorster of Whitehall, Grandchildren Michele (Jason), Heidi (James), Tara, Monica (Tom), Lana (Andrew), Paul W (Bekah), Christie, and Jenna (Scott); Great Grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriella, Elora, Piper, Patrick, Eleanor, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Alma, Adalyn, Ariana, Mariella, Zeke, Olivia, Theodore, Paul F., Clayton and Mikaylah; brother James Schalip and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements made by Underwood Funeral Home, Marysville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
