Donald Ray Main, age 76, of Marysville, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Memorial Gables following a short battle with cancer. He retired after working as a piping engineer for several years. He was also a former associate of Walmart, Generic, delivered newspapers and served as caregiver to his wife. He enjoyed electronics and “gadgets” and was adept with making computer spreadsheets. He never met a dog or a kitty he didn’t love as he always had a strong admiration for animals. A member of Old Union Church of Christ, he was especially known for his humble and gentle heart and loving kindnesses. He was born March 11, 1944 in Junction City, Kansas to the late Kenneth and Loula Waters Main. He was also preceded in death by a son, Dominic Main; his wife, Patsy Ann Davenport Main; and two brothers-in-law, Terry Robinson and Joe Hollar. He is survived by his children, David (Amy) Main, Pam (Del) LaGrange and Amanda (Brian) Sheets; his grandchildren, Joel, Devin, Levi, Delainey, Josh (Elizabeth), Mike (Debra), Jackie and Julia; two sisters, Nancy Robinson of Lawton, Oklahoma and Mary Hollar of La Mirada, California; two brothers, Carl Main of Temple Terrace, Florida and Phil Main of San Jose, California; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Private services will be held later at Old Union Church of Christ cemetery. Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville is assisting the family.
