Debbie Sue Kelly, age 58, of Marysville, died peacefully Monday, November 28, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. A patient care technician for 25 years, she was a loving and dedicated caregiver at Memorial Hospital of Union County and Memorial Gables. Lovingly known as Miss Debbie, she was a 1982 graduate of Marion Harding High School and attended Tri-Rivers and Marion Technical College. She was a member of Marysville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3506 and enjoyed socializing at the Elks and Moose Lodges with her friends and devoted husband, Mike. She loved to dance, run 5Ks and dabbling in many types of projects including quilting, canning, scrapbooking, gardening and baking. Her favorite times to relax was with her fur babies – Daisy Mae, Gizmo, Buckeye and Scarlet Gray. A big Ohio State Buckeyes fan, she will be most remembered as an adoring wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was born August 16, 1964 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Larry Taylor and Judy Seiter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anita; her grandma and grandpa Seiter; and an uncle, Mike Callahan. She is survived by her husband of eight years, Michael T. Kelly; her children, Christina (Timothy) Hite of Delaware, Amber (Tyler) Emrick of Prospect and Robert Shifflet of Prospect; her grandchildren, Abrianna, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Hazel, Caleb and Elliegh; her mother and step-father, Judy and Calvin Miller; her siblings, Kurt, Melissa and Bruce; an aunt, Sharon Callahan; her mother-in-law, Donna M. Wiley; her father-in-law, Richard L. (Kathy) Kelly; her in-laws, Scott (Linda) Kelly, Bob (Shenan) Kelly, Toby (Tina) Kelly and Dennis (Robin) Kelly; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including BFF Viantha “Momma Bear” and Bill Haley. A memorial gathering to celebrate Miss Debbie’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. Family and friends are invited to the Marysville Eagles Lodge for food and fellowship following the gathering.
