David Garnett Hills, age 73, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly Wellesley, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Forest Hills Care Center in Columbus. Known as an accomplished antiquarian horologist, he was a master clock repairer and restorer for many years. He served with the Wellesley, Massachusetts Police Department and was also a real estate developer. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served during the Vietnam War. Above all, he was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born November 16, 1947 in Wellesley, Massachusetts to the late Herbert and Carol Anderson Hills. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John B. Burnette. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Lillian Yeomans Hills, whom he married March 15, 1968 in Sumter, South Carolina; his children, Patty (Bobby) Hoppes of Boca Raton, FL, Tina Hills of Cumberland, Maryland, Katie (Ben) Wagner of Monroe, Ohio, and David (Molly) Hills, II of West Chester, Ohio; his grandchildren, Colin, Cody and Bella Hoppes, Dove Schiavone, Halley and Milo Wagner, Harper and Madelynn Hills and Kaleb Bostic; his brothers, Terry Hills of Columbus, Ohio and Rick (Rose) Hills of Holliston, MA; his mother-in-law, Ivey L. Means of Lexington, SC; sisters- and- brothers-in-law, Kathy Jones, Lu (Mike) Shirley, Ricky (Shirley) Hires and Tony (Angela) Hires; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will conduct private memorial services at a later date. Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville, Ohio is assisting the family.
