Daniel Ray Duncan, age 65, of Ostrander, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired 28-year associate at Honda of America where he worked in assembly at the Marysville plant since 1987. A former assistant manager at Ohio Grain in Marysville for many years, Dan was a 1973 graduate of North Union High School where he played football. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing poker with friends and family. He made several fishing trips to Lake Erie with his brothers and buddies and enjoyed NASCAR. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. Dan was deeply devoted to his canine companions, Katie and Roxie. Above all, Dan was a dedicated husband, father, brother and uncle. He was born July 22, 1955 in Union County, Ohio to the late Delmer and Eileen Wears Duncan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Guy Duncan; a sister-in-law, Linda Duncan; and his father-and mother-in-law, Floyd and Linda Rea. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Rea; his daughter, Tara Spicer; his step-daughter, Sara (JP) Roberts; his grandchildren, Karmin, Ali, Jayden, Trentin, Kyran, Autumn and Jaxxon; his great-grandsons, Ryder and Russo; his siblings, Lorina (Bob) Wilcox of Springboro, Dale (Linda) Duncan of Marysville, Don (Sue) Duncan of Ostrander, Dave (April) Duncan of Marysville, and Delmer “Jim” (Eddean) Duncan, Jr. of Marysville; a brother-in-law, James (Denise Robb-Gilliam) Rea of Ostrander; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Following cremation, graveside services will be held 12 noon Friday, November 13, 2020 at Thompson Township Cemetery in Delaware County. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
