Daniel C. Wegner, age 55, of Marysville, died peacefully Sunday, February 10, 2019 at home with his loving wife by his side. A line associate of Honda of America, he served the company in the paint department for almost 17 years. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1982 and received a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Ohio University in 1986. His hobbies included sports, news and studying the Bible. He enjoyed football officiating for little league, middle school, and junior varsity teams for the past 20 years. He also officiated track and lacrosse. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and attending Fellowship Bible Chapel in Sunbury. He will be remembered as a friendly, kind-hearted, great man, who knew no stranger, and an incredible man of God. He was born May 20, 1963 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Wegner. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathryn “Kathy” Shell Wegner, whom he married August 20, 1994 at the Shell family home in Worthington; his mother, Anita Wegner of Worthington; his sister, Cindi (Dan) Timmons of Worthington; his brother, David (Kami) Wegner of Arlington, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Jamie (Tiffany) Shell of Kettering and Mark (Brittany) Shell of Columbus; his father-and mother-in-law, Jim and Lorinda Shell of Worthington; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many other relatives, friends and work associates. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Herman Cemetery. Steve Regoli and Pastor Steve Mitchell will officiate. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwoodfuneralhome.com
