Dan Loac

Dan Loac, age 28, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Mississauga, Ontario, died peacefully Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home. For the past three years, Dan was a test engineer for Honda Research and Development of America in Marysville, Union County, Ohio. He attended Notre Dame High School in Brampton, Ontario and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Mississauga in 2007. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 2012 from Ryerson University in Toronto. Dan enjoyed many activities with his co-workers and friends including volleyball, basketball and any impulse trips he decided to do to enjoy life. He loved building his Gundams and was gifted with a creative mind for the arts. He took great pride and care of his cars especially, his Honda S2000. He was known for being optimistic, outgoing and was able to light up any room. Dan was a loving son, a brother to be proud of, a caring uncle, a dedicated friend, and someone that can never be replaced. He lived a wonderful but sadly short life and with it has touched the hearts of many. We will miss and forever love you dearly in our hearts Dan. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to be able to raise such a wonderful son, to grow with a strong hearted brother, and to meet a piece of a miracle. He was born September 6, 1989 in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer (Quang Ly) Loac, his sisters, Cindy (husband Steve Ortisi) Loac, Jenny Loac, and Melanie Loac; three nieces, Karen, Kelly and Karina; a nephew, Tyler; his grandparents, Gieng and Mui Loac; and many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, including Anthony Bui, Thang Loac, and Lim and Nga Le. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Memorial services will also be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, Ontario where the family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens in Oakville, Ontario. Memorial contributions may be made to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
